Scott Pomeroy
President
Scott leads STRAIT’s strategic direction, innovation and provides the overall vision for the organization. With over 31 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Scott has been involved in all aspects of the pipeline and facility sectors, starting in the field and working up to Senior Management.


Terrence Boland, CA
Senior Vice President, Finance
Terrence leads STRAIT’s Finance and Legal teams. Terrence is responsible for STRAIT’s M&A, legal, insurance and financial activities including financial reporting, accounting, tax and treasury functions. Terrence is a Chartered Accountant and has extensive experience in the oil and gas services industry.


Jason Holland, CRSP
Vice President, QHSE
Jason leads STRAIT’s Safety, Quality and HR Teams. Jason is responsible for the management and continuous improvement of STRAIT’s Quality, Health, Safety, Environment and HR programs. With over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Jason has held the positions of WorkSafeBC Occupational Safety Officer, Construction Safety Officer, HSE Manager, Director and VP.


Warren Clark
Vice President, Fort St. John Operations
Warren has over 30 years of industry experience and is responsible for STRAIT’s Fort St. John Operations. Warren has been involved in every aspect of construction, maintenance and turnarounds in the oil, gas and industrial facility sector, starting in the field as a pipefitter apprentice and working his way through trade certification, foreman, supervisor, project management and up to senior corporate management positions. He has a proven track record of successfully managing projects and teams throughout Western Canada.


Derrick Mysko
Senior Vice President, Projects
Derrick leads STRAIT’s Project Management office. Derrick is responsible for the management and continuous improvement of STRAIT’s project management and estimating programs. With over 25 years of experience in finance, operations, and project management, he has a proven track record of delivering successful projects to clients throughout western Canada. Derrick began his career in finance and has held senior operations and executive roles.


Kevin Hoekstra
Vice President, Business Development
Kevin is responsible for the business development and branding efforts related to STRAIT’s growth and strategic customer partnerships. Kevin has more than 20 years of business development and operational leadership experience, and a proven track record of providing construction services and infrastructure material to the oil and gas and energy infrastructure sectors.


Shawn Ward
Vice President, Mechanical
Having worked in the industry since 1997, Shawn has extensive experience in the oil and gas construction and maintenance sector. He continues to play an instrumental role in STRAIT’s mechanical construction and fabrication efforts in the province of British Columbia and Alberta. Under his operational guidance, Shawn has organically grown the operations center in Fort St. John and Grande Prairie to include all aspects of STRAIT’s facility construction, coatings, and shop fabrication. His entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to expanding and creating value for STRAIT’s clients and local communities goes unmatched.


Sheldon Gibb
Vice President, Business Development
Sheldon Gibb has been a long-time resident of Fort St. John and started working in the energy industry after graduating high school. Sheldon has over 30 years of experience within a variety of roles including pipeline construction, estimating, management, and business development. With a keen interest in the history of the northern communities and his commitment to helping make society a better place, Sheldon values the relationships with First Nations communities and currently manages Indigenous Relations for STRAIT Group.


Trent Barrows
Vice President, Pipeline & Integrity
Trent has over 25 years of experience in the pipeline and integrity field. He started his tenure as a welder’s helper and progressively worked his way up to project superintendent. Trent has successfully completed numerous field projects, from smaller maintenance programs up to and including large CAPEX projects, taking pride in completing his projects on time and on budget. Trent is now an important part of our Fort St. John office and responsible for managing our pipeline and integrity group.
