With over 31 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Scott has been involved in all aspects of the pipeline and facility sectors, starting in the field and working up to Senior Management.
Terrence Boland
Executive Vice President
Terrence focuses on executing STRAIT’s vision by planning strategies and goals with the leadership team to achieve that vision. With over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Terrence has been involved in a number of aspects of oil and gas service and construction.
Derrick Mysko
Senior Vice President, PMO
Derrick leads STRAIT’s Project Management office. Derrick is responsible for the management and continuous improvement of STRAIT’s project management and estimating programs. With over 25 years of experience in finance, operations, and project management, he has a proven track record of delivering successful projects to clients throughout western Canada.
Jason Holland, CRSP
Senior Vice President, QHSE
Jason leads STRAIT’s Safety, Quality and HR Teams. Jason is responsible for the management and continuous improvement of STRAIT’s Quality, Health, Safety, Environment and HR programs. With over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Jason has held the positions of WorkSafeBC Occupational Safety Officer, Construction Safety Officer, HSE Manager, Director and VP.
Shawn Ward
Senior Vice President, Business Development
Shawn plays a pivotal role in strengthening relationships with STRAIT’s customers and local communities across British Columbia and Alberta. Shawn’s commitment to fostering partnerships and creating socio-economic value remains central to his work, ensuring STRAIT’s operations continue to align with community and client needs. His dedication to expanding and creating value for STRAIT’s clients and local communities goes unmatched.
Shafina Kurji
Senior Vice President, Finance
Shafina is a Chartered Professional Accountant and is the leader of STRAIT’s Finance, Human Resources and Legal teams, bringing extensive experience in finance to her role. Shafina is responsible for overseeing STRAIT’s M&A activities, legal affairs, insurance matters, and financial operations, including financial reporting, accounting, tax, and treasury functions.
Kevin Hoekstra
Vice President, Business Development
Kevin is responsible for the business development and branding efforts related to STRAIT’s growth and strategic customer partnerships. Kevin has more than 20 years of business development and operational leadership experience, and a proven track record of providing construction services and infrastructure material to the oil and gas and energy infrastructure sectors.
